|All members that we have details for should have received an email earlier today providing their own login details for the new web site. I hope that you have successful logged on to the web site and will find it useful.
The technology behind the web site has been developed by an Australian company, HarmonySite specifically for music organisations. It has been made available in the UK by Making Music, which is a membership organisation for music groups and societies such as us. Our membership of Making Music gives us access to a very competitive insurance policy for public liability and our instruments and now this web site. It costs us no more than the previous web site but has many more features that are provided by HarmonySite as part of 'the package'
I hope that you have managed to log on to the web site successfully. The web site automatically generates a very secure, but not very memorable password. If you missed the instructions on how to change you password, simply click here ato go to the right place in a new tab
Please explore the web site. Most things that you will need are on the Members Home page. Also, please check that the information that we hold on the web site about you is correct. You can do this by hovering your cursor on your name at the top of any page on the web site. This will bring up a menu, simply click on 'View my profile' to see your own details. If anything is wrong or information is missing, please click on the 'Update member details' box near the top of the page on the left. Please take the time to scroll down and check or update where necessary the accessibility, dietary and medical details that you would like us to know about. You can also tell us about any skills you have that you think would be useful! Don't forget to click on 'the 'Save' box for each section if you make any changes.
If you have any suggestions to improve the web site, please tell us by emailing email@example.com
In the future we hope to be able to take payments for subscriptions and other things via the web site, but this will need to wait until the very long process to move our bank account to the Co-operative Bank has completed
This is also something of an experiment, because I will ask the web site to email all members to tell them about this post in the Latest News part of the web site, so hear goes...
