A Midwinter Noel
This wonderful and uplifting piece was composed by Jay Rouse and is based on original music by Gustav Holst for "In the Bleak Mid-Winter'. We always include elements in our concerts with every performer from choir and orchestra 'on the stage', and this piece was performed at Christmas 2021 as the world began to recover from the Covid-19 pandemic
A Midwinter Noel:Adagio for ’cello and Orchestra
The beautiful piece is rarely performed and was found by Richard who asked Heather Ball to take the solo part in the performance immediately before she went to university. With playing like this, Heather will always be welcome back to bolster the cello section!
